Week Summary: Mme McDonald is in France this week, but students will keep learning French! Students will work mainly on -ER verbs, and begin practicing our second irregular verb, avoir. They will learn about school and grades in France and Canada, as well.
Students will be able to talk about what they and others do.
- Students will complete activities in D’Accord 2 on using -ER verbs with the assistance of the substitute teacher

Students will be able to identify school supplies and school subjects in French: Students will complete a vocabulary quiz
Students will be able to talk about what they and others do: Students will make mini posters to explain -ER verbs.
Students will be able to identify cultural similarities and differences between the US and France: Students will read a short piece about schools in France
Students will be able to express what they have and need: Students will complete notes about the verb avoir using the textbook. Students will complete a practice activity from the textbook
Students will be able to identify cultural similarities and differences between the US and France: Students will read another short piece about schools in France, then create a venn diagram and long paragraph comparing schools in the USA and France.
Students will be able to describe the schedule of another person: Students will complete an information gap activity describing the schedule of an imaginary French student, then write 7 sentences about that schedule
